I used to have this too and I was so freakin' frustrated thinking that EA screwed up after publishing the game standalone from the Ultimate C&C Collection. It appears I was wrong. It's nothing special, but I think It's something that they could have fixed after releasing the game on origin.Locate your RA2.ini / RA2MD.ini file in the game directory and under the Video Options, add:. AllowHiResModes=yes. AllowVRAMSidebar=no. VideoBackBuffer=no Set ScreenWidth and ScreenHeight to your monitor resolution.► Additionally, I'd recommend you to download graphics patcher to make sure the game runs smoothly.► If you want to run command line parameters such as '-win' in order to play the game in windowed mode, you'd want to install launchers. They work like magic and I'm really glad that these actually exist.► Also, make sure to set Compatibility mode to Win XP and Run as an Administrator all executable files in the game's directory.
(all.exe files such as game.exe; gamemd.exe etc.)► There's a lot of different directdraw dlls on the internet. Personally, I use one. It makes it possible to ALT+TAB out of the game normally.

Major drawback: sometimes when clicking on menu buttons the transition is slower. It's possible that loading times could be slightly affected as well. No idea who the author of that dll is unfortunately.
